Service Writer Position
We are a family-owned and operated Auto Repair Center with an excellent reputation. We are located 10 miles south of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
We are hiring full-time and part-time automotive service writers for our Garden City, SC, location. We seek individuals who strive to foster strong working relationships with our customers and staff.
Candidates must have a basic knowledge of automobiles, but more importantly, excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Our Automotive Service Writers are responsible for greeting our customers with a smile as they check in their cars for repair or maintenance.
As a service writer, you will need strong listening and written communication skills to accurately transcribe descriptions of automotive problems or symptoms. Our auto technicians will need your accurately transcribed information to diagnose the customer's problems correctly.
Once our auto technicians have made a diagnosis, you will be responsible for providing the customer with a correct and accurate estimate and ordering the necessary parts for the job. Upon completion of the auto repair or maintenance, you will collect payment from the customer.
Light technology and bookkeeping skills are required. We use Windows computers, standard everyday office equipment, and industry-related computer programs, including Mitchell 1.
